Three of our Year 10 pupils, Lauren Price-Jones, Elizabeth Lockhart and Rachel Robb, had the chance to meet and work with ex-Welsh International rugby player Chris Horsman. As part of a borough wide project, the three girls are silver sports ambassadors, and are working alongside other secondary schools to deliver a mini Olympics for Year 2 pupils on June 23rd at Kings Park. Chris also worked with a GCSE PE class, putting them through their paces, and all pupils had a chance to meet him and ask him questions. He then went with the three ambassadors to help them lead an Olympic themed assembly at Muscliff Primary School. Everyone who met him said how inspiring and motivating he was to them.

Rock Challenge
BSG entered the international dance competition 'Rock Challenge' competing in the area round at the Pavilion on 8 th March. Over 100 girls were involved either in performing, or as part of the stage crew, lighting or make up teams.
Our Rock Challenge dancers had been led since September by Stacey Mills, Charlotte Main , Jasmine Ward , Megan Underwood , Rebecca Andrews and Alex Niz-Downing, to great effect.
On the night the dancers were superb and performed exceptionally well, and with precision, showing a high level of expertise. We won the award for Best Hair and Make up.
Gym and Dance display
Another fantastic show! This was a great opportunity for the girls to showcase a variety of class work, club work, inter-house and competitive gymnastic sequences. Over 200 girls performed in remarkable tumbling, sports acrobatic routines combined with inspiring rhythmical dance. The evening climaxed with the performance of this year's Rock Challenge entry. Well done to all the performers.
